    Title: Sources of Charged Higgs Pair Through Double or Triple Higgs Production in Two Higgs Doublet Model Type II at Linear Colliders

    Description: The production of triple Higgs $(H^+H^-H^0)$, $(H^+H^-h^0)$ and pair wise charged Higgs boson $(H^+H^-)$ is studied in the context of future linear colliders within the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) type II. The aim is to compare sources of charged Higgs pair through the above processes, i.e., double and triple Higgs production. Cross-sections are calculated at the leading order in 2HDM type II and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). Several orders of magnitude ($\sim 10^{4}$) enhancement is observed in 2HDM compared to MSSM, while no sizable enhancement is seen in muon collider versus electron-positron collider. The analysis is based on a heavy charged Higgs with mass above 500 GeV. It is found that double charged Higgs production cross-section (being the same in 2HDM and MSSM) is few femtobarns while the triple Higgs production can not exceed a fraction of femtobarn within the parameter space under study.     Description: Single top quark production through weak interactions is an important source of charged Higgs in the Minimal Super Symmetric Standard Model. In the s-channel single top production ,charged Higgs having largest cross-section may appear as a propagator in the form of heavy resonance state decaying to a pair of top and bottom quark. In this paper the channel under consideration is $pp \rightarrow H^{\pm}\rightarrow tb \rightarrow b\bar{b}W^{\pm} \rightarrow b\bar{b}\tau^{\pm} \nu_{\tau}$, where top quark exclusively decays into a pair of b quark and W boson while W boson subsequently decays to $\tau$ jet and neutrino. So the final state is characterized by the presence of two b jets, hadronic $\tau$ decay and missing transverse energy.It has been demonstrated that the charged Higgs signal observability is possible within the available MSSM parameter space (tan$\beta$, $m_{H^{\pm}})$ respecting all experimental and theoretical constraints due to presence of QCD multijet and electroweak background...     Title: Charged Higgs Study through Triple or Double Higgs Production in a General Two Higgs Doublet Model at Future Lepton Collide

    Description: In this study the charged Higgs signal through triple or double Higgs production in a general two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) is investigated. The main production process is $e^+e^- \rightarrow H^+H^-H^0$ followed by the charged Higgs decay to a pair of $\tau \nu$ and the neutral Higgs decay to $b\bar{b}$. The alternative process $H^+W^-H^0$ is also included as a source of charged Higgs signal in the analysis having comparable cross-section. The focus is on a future $e^+e^-$ linear collider operating at $\sqrt{s}=1.5$ TeV. The final state under consideration ($\tau^+ \tau^- b \bar{b} E^{\textnormal{miss}}_{T}$) is suitable for electroweak background rejection using the $b-$tagging tools. It is shown that although the signal cross section is small, with a reasonable background suppression, high signal significance values are achievable at an integrated luminosity $500 fb^{-1}$ depending on the charged Higgs mass, $\tan\beta~$ and the CP-odd neutral Higgs mass.     Title: Autologous blood injection in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis

    Description: To determine mean decrease in visual analogue pain score after autologous blood injection in patients with lateral epicondylitis. The quasi-experimental study was conducted at Ghurki Trust Hospital, Lahore, from December 10, 2012, to June 8, 2013, and comprised patients having lateral epicondylitis of elbow. Pre-procedure baseline visual analogue score was measured. Under aseptic conditions, 2ml of autologous blood was drawn from the contra-lateral antecubital fossa of the patient and slowly injected into the site of maximum tenderness. Patients were advised to continue their normal daily activities and were followed up at third and sixth week for assessment of pain intensity. Mean decrease was calculated by subtracting the post-procedure visual analogue score from the baseline value.SPSS 11 was used for data analysis. Of the 150 patients in the study, there were 127(84.7%) males and 23(15.3%) females. Male-to-female ratio was 5.5:1 Overall mean age of was 33.91±10.23 years. The mean pre-injection pain score was 8.97±1.02 and post-injection was 3.59±1.58. Mean decrease in VAS pain score was 5.37±1.80. Autolgous blood injection was found to be an effective way to treat patients of epicondylitis elbow.

    Description: A novel quantitative volumetric spreading index (VSI) is defined that depends on the total distance between object voxels and the contact surface plane in three-dimensional (3D) space. The VSI, which ranges from 0 to 1, is rotationally invariant around the z-axis. VSI can be used to quantify the degree of individual cell spreading, which is important for analysis of cell interactions with their environment. The VSIs of astrocytes cultured on a nanofibrillar surface and three different comparative planar surfaces have been calculated from confocal laser scanning microscope z-series images, and the effects of both culture surface and immunoreactivity on the degree of cell spreading were investigated. VSI calculations indicated a statistical correlation between increased reactivity, based on immunolabeling for glial fibrillary acidic protein, and decreased cell spreading. Further results provided a quantitative measure for the increased spreading of quiescent-like and reactive-like astrocytes...

    Description: To investigate the directive importance of nanophysical properties on the morphological and protein expression responses of dibutyryladenosine cyclic monophosphate (dBcAMP)-treated cerebral cortical astrocytes in vitro. Elasticity and work of adhesion characterizations of culture surfaces were performed using atomic force microscopy and combined with previous surface roughness and polarity results. The morphological and biochemical differentiation of dBcAMP-treated astrocytes cultured on promising nanofibrillar scaffolds and comparative culture surfaces were investigated by immunocytochemistry, colocalization, super resolution microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The dBcAMP-treated astrocyte responses were further compared with untreated astrocyte responses. Nanofibrillar scaffold properties were shown to reduce immunoreactivity responses while poly-L-lysine-functionalized Aclar® (Ted Pella Inc., CA, USA) properties were shown to induce responses reminiscent of glial scar formation. The comparison study indicated that directive cues may differ in wound-healing versus quiescent situations.
